Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio Salernitana
Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio Salernitana was founded following the approval of the Amato Act (Law no. 218/1990), which sanctioned the privatisation of Italian public banks. The name originated from Princess Sichelgaita, the daughter of the last Longobard ruler of Salerno and the wife of the first Norman ruler.

Supports cultural, artistic, historical and archeological heritage and works to give a sense of responsibility for the protection, conservation, popularisation, utilisation and promotion of local cultural heritage.

Supports training and education by organising or financing specialised courses.
Scientific Research
The foundation’s projects in the field of development and technological innovation aim to acquire knowledge and favour its transfer from specialised producers to users within local systems.

Addressing particularly the social and minorities categories, the foundation works in order to improve the life of disabled people by carrying out social projects, above all in collaboration with third sector organisations.
