The Wellcome Collection
The Wellcome Collection is a museum and gallery in London dedicated to challenging the way that society thinks and feels about health.
Opened in 2007, the Collection encourages new ways of thinking about health by connecting science, medicine, life and art in innovative displays of both antiquities and hi-tech modern displays. The site features not only a modern museum, but also bars, cafes, galleries, live music venues, classrooms and The Hub, an interdisciplinary research centre that encourages multidisciplinary, and multicultural participation in research on health and the arts.
A part of the Wellcome Trust, the Collection is today an integral part of the London cultural scene, and is acknowledged as having pushed the boundaries of established practice amongst its peers.
