Monitoring Group for Disability Rights

The Monitoring Group for Disability Rights project was initiated in 2013 by the Social Rights and Research Association within the Sabanci Foundation’s Social Development Grant Program.

In 3 years the Monitoring Group included more than 30 NGOs from different cities of Turkey working on disability issues. The group’s mission was to show to what extent the legislation on disability rights is implemented in Turkey, in a common effort to ensure that persons with disabilities can fully enjoy their rights and do not face discrimination.
