European Digital Charter of Fundamental Rights
ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius has drafted a Charter of digital fundamental rights of the European Union and creating momentum for social debate, but also for European legislative process. The Charter was born from its Bucerius Lab.
At the end of 2016, 27 well-known experts drafted a European Digital Charter of Fundamental Rights and introduced this Digital Charter into the public debate. In 23 articles they make suggestions on the autonomy and freedom of the individual, artificial intelligence, informational self-determination and data security and other aspects (such as elections, right to be forgotten, freedom of choice etc).
