Connected Cities

Connected Cities is a volunteer-led project incubated by the Transatlantic Core Group that is aiming to build upon the existing Hamburg-Chicago city partnership with the aim to ”make strangers friends.”

The projects aims to establish and expand civil society networks, with a special focus upon integrating new or underrepresented actors from both cities. Though the creation of a larger, transatlantic network for civil society actors they can invest both into societal issues of the two cities along with German-American relations.

The Transatlantic Core Group is composed of several EFC members; BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt and Robert Bosch Stiftung, along with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and the Atlantic Council.
